Q. Do you enter the B&B through a common area to get to your room?
No. All of our units are like apartments of varying sizes with private outside entrances, private baths, efficiency to full kitchens, and most with porch or balcony.
Q. Are you pet friendly?
Unfortunately we are not. Many guests have pet allergies and most of our units are carpeted.
Q. Do you have off of the street parking?
Yes, all of our guests have a parking space on the property.
Q. Do you have units that can accommodate more than 2 persons and do you allow children?
We have 1 suite, the Plantation Apt (the largest), which can accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids, for example. It has 2 twin beds which are usually pushed together to create a King bed and a Queen bed in separate room with door within the suite. The Cottage also has a King bed with a Queen pull out sofa for those with children.
Q. Is WIFI available?
Yes, free WIFI is included in the rate
Q. Is your pool heated?
Yes, we try to maintain a temperature of about 80 degrees in the winter.
Q. Can you check-in early and check-out late?
Check-in is between 3-9 and check out is at 11. Arrangements can be made for earlier or later arrivals or departures depending on whether the units are rented before or after your stay.
Q. Is there a beach at the end of the Main St. on St. Josephs Sound?
No, the closest beaches would be Caladesi and Honeymoon Island State Park Beaches which are 5/5 mi. north or Clearwater Beach 6.1 mi. south.
Q. Do we have to have breakfast with other guests?
Our breakfasts are served between 9am – 10am and are served “room service style” in your suite, porch or balcony, or any of our outdoor locations, gazebo, orchid garden, or by the swimming pool.
Q. Do you offer a menu for breakfast options?
NO. Breakfast is chef’s special full brunch or a continental brunch and will be crafted according to any of your dietary restrictions or food allergies. Continental means hot/cold cereals, breads, yogurts, fruits and juice/coffee, the full brunch is all of that plus an entree for each person. It's $15/person to add on the full brunch, $10/person for continental, if booked at a discounted room rate.
Q. Can you choose not to have breakfast?
We have an option, we call the “Sunday Breakfast Plan” for guests who are staying for 7 nights or longer. This plan omits daily breakfast/housekeeping except for 1 time per week and offers a savings of 10% for 7 nights, 15% for 14 nights and 20% for 21 nights. It has limited 1/wk housekeeping.
Q. Are you located in the Downtown Area?
Yes, right next to Pioneer Park and are walking distance to over 25 shops, 25 restaurants and 7 breweries.
Q. Are there bike rentals close by?
Just 2 blocks away on the Pinellas Trail.
Please be sure of your plans before reserving! As a small inn dealing almost exclusively with advance reservations, all date changes and cancellations affect us significantly. Consequently, we require a 30 day advanced notice for any changes including a change of dates, change in number of nights, or cancellation. Without this notice deposits are not refunded and you will be charged 50% of the booking or the 1st night, whichever is greater. The only exception will occur if we are able to re-rent the room(s) to fill the entire original booking, at which time we will make the same refund as described above.
Please note that we do have a minimum stay requirement of 2 nights for weekends, holidays, and special events. Reservations for a single night are sometime available. Please call us for any one-night availabilities. Note also that we rarely have any openings for a single night stay on a Saturday.
Please also note that during Jan., Feb., March, and April, our busiest and most popular months, we may increase our minimum stay to avoid being left with an “orphan” room (that is, a room open for one night only). We thank you for your understanding.
Check-in time is between 3PM and 9PM. Later arrivals can only be arranged with prior notice. Check-out time is 11AM. We are sorry that we are not able to accommodate all early check-ins or late check-outs, but sometimes are able to, just call to ask!
We regret that we can rarely accommodate pets, and children under 16 years are generally happier elsewhere.
Please note that our availability calendar may not always be 100% accurate. Please also note that we do have minimum stay requirements at all times of the year (2-4 nights, weekends, holidays, special events, depending on season). During our busiest and most popular time (Jan., Feb., Mar., and April, we may also increase our minimums to avoid being left with an “orphan” night (a room open for a single night only.)
